THE SHAWS
Nathan Shaw owns a salon in Idaho, named The Electric Chair. During the course of hiring and bringing on new stylists for his business, he found that the educational level of the stylists in the area was lacking. That’s when he decided to open his very first school in 2007. He knew that, as a successful business owner, he could help elevate the overall level of education for students who wanted an education that prepared them for life in the salon. Our owner is one of the many things that we think help us different!
OUR CURRICULUM
Not only do we provide excellent education for our programs, but at Nathan Layne Institute we also add our own little twist. Nathan brings his industry knowledge into our classrooms. A section of our curriculum is focused on salon training. You can learn business, marketing, and salon-life skills from real business owners. We designed this portion of our classes to help prepare our students for life outside our beauty school.
